About our ingredients
Aloe Leaf Juice
This is one of the active ingredients in our conditioning cleanse. Obtained from the wonderful Aloe Vera plant (Aloe Barbadensis), Aloe leaf juice is very popular in the skin and hair industry because of its unique characteristics and numerous benefits. It is made up of 32 vitamins and minerals as well as hundreds of active enzymes. Its uses include:
Decreasing dryness and dandruff: Dry hair can be a huge nuisance. Even when the weather is not windy or cold, staying outdoors for long periods of time will lead to loss of moisture on the hair. But dry scalp can be moisturized with the help of the enzymes and anti-inflammatory properties present in aloe leaf juice. It also has anti-fungal properties present in the enzymes it contains, these rid the scalp of dandruff and flaky scalp associated with dryness..
Hair growth: Aloe Vera contains macrophages and superoxide dismutase that are excellent growth simulators. Aloe Vera juice promotes strong and healthy hair. Its anti-inflammatory properties also help in freeing inflamed follicles allowing nutrients to reach the scalp more easily. Aloe Vera juice also contains proteolytic enzymes that help to repair dead skin cells present on the scalp.
Green Tea Leaf Extract
Another important ingredient is green tea. Green tea is renowned for the presence of antioxidants and nutrients. It
Strengthens the hair: Green tea is a huge source of panthenol a vital ingredient known to strengthen the hair in shampoos and conditioners. It contains a unique amino acid known as theanine. This in collaboration with panthenol effectively strengthens the hair and prevents split ends.
Protects the hair: Green tea comes with natural vitamin C that can protect your hair and scalp from sun damage. This reduces moisture loss and the subsequent prevalence of dryness.
Glycerin
A very popular ingredient used in lots of hair and skincare products. It is packed with humectants that pull moisture into the hair and retain it.
PEG-40 Castor Oil
PEG 40 Castor Oil is derived from hydrogenated castor oil and is used as an emulsifier or surfactant. PEG-40 castor oil can be used to stimulate circulation in the scalp to improve growth. With its humectant properties, it is very useful for locking in moisture, ensuring that your hair is softer, thicker, shinier and smoother. With its anti-fungal properties, castor oil is also effective for healing and alleviating several scalp infections and conditions. It is said to be able to remove the bacteria that causes dandruff, infection and hair loss.
Rooibos leaf extract ensures that your hair is smooth and shiny while protecting it from sun damage. With the help of rooibos, thinning hair can grow thick and dandruff can be kept at a minimum.

This is absolutely awesome. Hair is very moisturized which is what my hair needs not so much conditioning but moisturizing I was a little skeptical at first but I love it love it love it and I have zero Tangles and my hair is variegated very long fine to medium in texture so far in Balance moisturize. I also don’t need to do any extra conditioner all I do is try to leave in and then my styling butter and that’s it. Cuts down a lot of time with my hair take it.
I was pleasantly surprised with this shampoo my hair is very funny when it comes to shampoos I usually stick to only two types. I love the green tea and aloe which are two ingredients that my hair love so that was the only reason I chose to give it a try . I did have to put the cap on and let it sit for about 15 minutes just to get a little extra conditioning for my hair and it’s probably due to the change in season? Then I did use a rinse out conditioner that I let sit for a few minutes also but it’s still a good shampoo / cleanser. I even talk with my male cousin into trying this particular cleanser and the banana leaving along with the sunflower cream curl definer and he also tried my favorite butter that I reviewed the first one with the aloe kokum and Cupuacu butter and I even got him to get the blend of hair oils for hair and skin. So he’s trying it out now because he didn’t have a hair regimen so I talked him into giving their products and try so we shall see how it works out for him.
