In this video, I show you how to make a super moisturizing face cream. The texture is light and buttery because there is no water and therefore, no need for preservatives and extra ingredients. This face cream feels like an olein. An Olein is the liquid fat portion of butters that have gone through the fractionation process. It is pure and highly effective at moisturizing and nourishing the skin. Ideally, you will want to use this face cream at night after cleansing your face. You will wake up to supple, hydrated and soft skin. MURUMURU BUTTER: A true gift of Nature

Murumuru butter is the white to yellowish fat obtained from the seeds of the murumuru palm. Murumuru butter contains lauric, myristic, and oleic acids. The fruit contains a white butter that is odorless and tasteless and has the advantage of not becoming rancid easily. The quality of Murumuru butter is similar to the seed fat of the Tucumã palm and coconut palm, but it has the advantage of providing greater consistency because of its melting point (33 C), which is superior to that of the Tucumã palm (30 °C) and coconut palm (22.7 °C). The quality of Murumuru butter makes it possible to mix it with other vegetable butters that have a lower melting point. One of the many beauties and advantages of DIY skin and hair care is the ability to experiment and try new and totally different things. Blending oils is not only fun, it’s also very beneficial to to your beauty regimen. If you blend pure carrier oils, you could benefit from the collective properties of the oils. Before you jump on the bandwagon, you have to know which oils work best together and how you can combine them most effectively and efficiently. A common mistake some people make is blending oils that do not work together. Some oils are also very thick to be properly blended and fully incorporated together. Examples include castor oil, both black castor and ordinary castor oil. Pumpkin seed oil, black cumin seed oil are also some good examples. While these oils have their own outstanding benefits, they cannot be blended seamlessly with other oils except in whipped hair and body butters. Some people like to use light and easy to blend oils in their beauty regimen for cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing. They are extremely light and easily blend with other oils. My beauty regimen involve adding and blending these three oils together and using my mix for oil cleansing on my face and neck. I also apply my mix at night for deep overnight softening and hydration of my skin. I highly recommend these oils as the results are absolutely amazing. Apart from their moisturizing properties, Sea buckthorn oil and Buriti oil are highly pigmented oils that prevent hyperpigmentation, scarring and uneven skin tone. It doesn’t really matter how old you are, one thing is for sure and that is the fact that you are not getting any younger. Gravity eventually comes for everyone of us and no one is getting out of this world alive. Aging is a beautiful thing that people should be proud of. Not everyone gets the privilege to age but unfortunately, some people are scared to get older. For some women, mentioning their age out loud is forbidden because they want to be considered young. Aging does come with a few surprises, some of which you may have never known until you actually started getting older. For some people, some of the things I’ll mention are expected while some may be surprising but the goal of this blog post is to help you embrace the aging process by giving you tips to stay youthful much longer and to age beautifully. So lets face it, some of the consequences of aging can be quite harsh while some are much milder. For example, sagging skin is nothing compared to weak joints, arthritis and memory issues. However, I will focus on some of the milder results of aging. Some of the harsher consequences of aging like memory loss, stiff joints, degenerative health conditions and severe disease may be beyond ones control while some may be alleviated or avoided by making healthier choices at a younger age. I will not be able to address these conditions since I am neither a doctor nor a medical practitioner. The milder results of aging like sagging skin, wrinkles, hair loss and more will be addressed in this article. One of the early surprises of aging is the emergence of fine lines and wrinkles in places you never thought possible. In your late teens and early twenties, you probably enjoyed flexible skin that bounced back pretty quickly after being traumatized in the sun, winter and other harsh weather conditions. However, you will find that as you near your late thirties, it is not easy for your skin to bounce back as quickly as before. The results of any harsh treatments by you will begin to stare you in the face. Crows feet, smile lines, frown lines, forehead crease etc will begin to become slightly more visible every day. This is a result of the loss of collagen in the skin leading to less flexibility. In order to deal with the emergence of wrinkles, you will need an inside out approach. First, you will need to boost your intake of healthy and nutritious foods. Some people start taking collagen peptides which has been found to increase skin elasticity by replenishing the naturally produced collagen in the body. The beauty products you use will also need to be updated as you age because of the changing demands of your skin and hair. Natural products are much better and recommended for the overall health of your body. Moreover, they provide all you need for healthy skin and hair. In the next sections, I will recommend reliable natural products that you can use to obtain a youthful appearance for as long as possible. Natural products for youthful skin: The skin is the first testament to your age. Some of the more commonly neglected areas of the skin that reveal age include the back of your ears, elbows, hands and knees. You may have not shown as much care to these areas in your earlier years but as you age, that will have to change. The back of the ears is more commonly neglected in women of color. We are so caught up in different hairstyles, braids, twists etc that we forget to apply same product we use for our face and neck to the back of the ears. Unhealthy practices like failure to moisturize your skin, not using sun block, applying layers of make up on the skin daily and not cleansing properly afterwards, sleeping on rough fabric, using chemical laden skin care products and cosmetics, not changing out your make up and more speed up the aging of your skin and needs to be discontinued. Incorporating pure oils and herbs that nourish the skin from the inside and out will be a safe insurance against premature aging. Protecting your skin from the elements is an important step. Making sure your skin stays moisturized and well cleansed, sleeping on a silk pillow case, changing out your cosmetics regularly are also critical.
