Our Whipped Kokum, Tamanu, Cupuacu & Shea with Jojoba oil is made using a five step method. First the pure and natural butters are melted in a double boiler (direct heat is never applied to the butters and oils). After melting, the butter is cooled for a while and then whipped. This stage is essential to ensure that the butter is fully incorporated together, especially in cases where multiple butters are included in the product. After being whipped together consistently for some time, carrier oils, essential oils and vitamins are added and the butter is cooled again for some minutes and left out at room temperature for eight hours. This final stage is essential to make sure the product is properly balanced and stabilized. It also ensures a smooth texture and consistency.

I’ll start with the positive, the butter is thick/creamy and has a pleasant fragrance. The downside is a very noticeable “wax looking” residue that sits on top of the skin. Customer service informed me this comes from the jojoba oil (which is sometime called “liquid wax”) used within the product. I really wish I could share a photo of how prominently it shows out. Wouldn’t have ordered if I’d known prior to purchase just how much it would shine through the other ingredients. Pretty much renders it useless for application prior to going outdoors.

I really like this this is a perfect extra perfect bill it’s light I don’t like heavy Butters at all cuz I don’t really need them but this one’s perfect and a little goes a long way and it’s just nice feeling. It’s a good addition to your other Butters. I’ve tried I believe 8 or 9 to date.
